n Lady Irene nursery opened in 2000 with 36 children. It was founded with a noble cause to bring education near to the hard to reach but more especially those in the slum areas of Iganga District.
n It started as a nursery school with a baby class, middle and top. With increasing numbers that were not absorbed by the near by schools mostly due to costs, management resolved that they should introduce upper primary.

Now Lady Irene nursery and primary school is a mixed day nursery and primary school found in the eastern part of Uganda, It has a population of 300 pupils both boys and girls between the ages of 3 – 13 and 12 teachers.
n Our children are hospitable and willing to meet and share with people from different parts of the world, and also have a lot of interest in photographing, art, culture, dance, sports. We love our work and we welcome schools who are willing to partner with us.
